I have been a slacker! Not that anyone really reads my blog but I do it for myself. I got so bogged down with work, church and Em's school stuff that I ignored my new venture. Well, I'm on this self improvement kick now so better days that are a comming!!!

SWEET SURPRISES!

I participated in a apron swap recently and yesterday I received my apron in the mail. It came from Ruth from up north. One of my favorite colors is Robin's Egg Blue and she made a wonderful full apron in a soft blue with snowmen and the ruffle even had a little bling to it. How did she know that I like blingy kinda things :)? She sent some sweet snowflakes (she crocheted herself) that match the apron and my daughter and I are going to use those to make a ornament. I will post a picture on here as soon as I can. Ruth the apron fits beautifully thank you so much!!!!

PAY IT FORWARD...........

Well, I participated in my first Habitat for Humanity house here in Clinton. Parkway was part of the group and felt like I could at least do something even if it was picking up "trash" building supplies. I showed up at 8:00 and proceeded to embark on painting and varnishing. By the end of the day I looked like someone that had just climbed out of a dumpster. Paint all over me, varnish sticking my fingers together and my hair kinked up like an afro (it was humid yesterday). And the the final blow, or blows, I should say is that channel 12 showed up to get video footage AND Tim Nichols from the Clinton News came around with his camera, took pictures and talked to everyone. I really tried to pretend I didn't see him but it didn't work. The best part of that day yesterday was I loved every minute of it. My life has been such a series of blessings, even the rough times, that it was the least I could do to show the Lord my thankfulness here at Thanksgiving. No better way to show what you are thankful for than to pay it forward.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY!

THE AMERICAN WAY...........

Well, I voted this morning and it wasn't bad where I was in terms of waiting. I got to my place to vote at 6:45 and was done about 7:15. There were about 20 people ahead of me. I have to admit I will be glad to not have to listen to anymore garbage from the media about the polls and who's ahead and who is saying what. Whatever the outcome we as Americans will always persevere with whatever comes our way. I can tell you this that I voted my consious and I will always put my faith in GOD because I do know that he IS in control no matter what.

On another note, yesterday I received my partner for the Very Vintage Christmas Swap that I am participating in at http://www.foxglovesfabricandfolly.blogspot.com/ , I have been paired with Sherri in North Carolina and I looking forward to getting to know her. Sherri is an avid reader and it will be a fun adventure finding the right things to send to her.

NEW DAY!!!!!!

Isn't it great how GOD gives us a new day to start over with all the mistakes we made the days before. His grace is neverending and something we so don't deserve. I am amazed at how GOD has always brought me through times that I messed up and brought on myself and the times that were out of my control. He sends me little messages that are so "loud" that it's almost like he is yelling at me (I know he really isn't) but I do believe that he will do whatever he chooses to get our attention. I have been truly blessed in my life and for that I am eternally grateful. I shudder to think of what life would be like if I didn't have Christ as my focus. I truly hope that so many people that I know personally and strangers that I encounter day to day will find Christ if they feel lost and lonely. If they hold anger in their hearts I pray that they will let in Christ and find untold amounts of joy and peace.

I receive a devotional in my email daily from http://www.girlfriendsingod.com/ and it gives me daily enouragement in times I struggle. I would encourage anyone to visit with them and receive a blessing. I found this site through http://www.crosswalk.com/ .

HOMECOMING!!

Just an update, RJ our baby is home and happy. Picked him up today and he was a little on the thin side but he was back to his feisty little self. I know he is happy.

AND SO IT GOES..........

Well, I talked to the vet today and our little RJ is doing better. Dr. Gill said that he wasn't throwing up and the diahrrea was better, they are going to see if he will eat something in the next 24 hours. The first couple of days he felt so bad he didn't care who did what to him but Dr. Gill said today that he has been growling a little when someone comes in so that is a good sign.

On another note I haven't mentioned that I have signed up for another swap Very Vintage Christmas swap over at www.foxglovesfabricandfolly.blogspot.com. I love doing this kinda stuff and since I am hosting a Lia Sophia party, www.liasophia.com , in December I will have new decor to put out, Yea!!

IN THE BEGINING..............

In the begining was the internet and with the internet came something called a Google search engine. Well, the rest is history as "they" say and so began my journey into the world of blogging. It all started with Elizabeth Holcombe of www.elizabethholcombe.typepad.com and the inspiration that followed. RESTLESS REBEL HEARTS :(

Well, yesterday we had to take our sweet baby RJ to the vet. He kinda started showing signs of not feeling well, not eating and acting kinda lethargic. By wednesday afternoon he was passing blood. We knoew he was not well as you see he is mostly Jack Russell Terrier and is always jumping and barking and happy. The vet gave bad news that he thinks RJ (Rebel Jr.) has Parvo virus. Don't know much about it but I do know that it is serious. We had to leave him at the vet for a undetermined period of time for IV infusion of some meds. Our hearts are sad that he is hurting and can't wait to get him well and bring him home!
